Where are you in your own life?
A gentle check-in for the woman who carries a lot.
You may be good at keeping things moving. You remember what needs doing, notice when someone needs support, and find a way to make it work. But when was the last time you gave that same attention to what is happening inside you?
Take a few quiet minutes with these questions. You can answer in your head or write in a journal. There is nothing to submit, no score, and no particular conclusion you need to reach. Simply notice what feels familiar.
When someone asks what you want, what happens?
Perhaps your answer comes easily. Or perhaps you check what everyone else would prefer before you can hear your own. You might say, “Anything is fine,” then discover later that you did have a preference.
Think of a recent, ordinary moment: choosing dinner, making plans, deciding how to spend an afternoon. Did you make room for what you wanted, too?
Try giving yourself a little time: “Let me think about what would work for me.” You can pause before you answer.
When you finally have time to yourself, can you receive it?
Maybe you settle into it. Maybe you notice the laundry, the unanswered message, or something you could do for someone else. Even with nothing urgent to do, you may feel that you should be useful.
What would you choose if this time didn’t have to be earned? Rest, company, quiet, something creative? Is there a feeling that becomes easier to hear when you stop being busy?
When something leaves you uncomfortable, do you listen?
You might leave a conversation feeling small, agree to something you wish you hadn’t, or feel disappointed and immediately tell yourself it isn’t a big deal. Sometimes you understand everyone else’s reasons before you acknowledge your own experience.
Can you let your first response matter long enough to get curious about it? What might you need: time, clarity, a boundary, or a conversation?
You can understand someone else’s intentions and still notice how an experience affected you. Both deserve room.
When you look at the life you’ve built, does it feel like yours?
There may be much you love, alongside parts that no longer fit. Perhaps a role that once felt meaningful now feels limiting. Perhaps you’ve become so used to being needed that you’re unsure what you would choose for yourself.
Where do you feel most like yourself? Where do you feel you are going through the motions? You don’t have to change everything to pay attention to one honest answer.
When you imagine receiving support, what comes up?
Relief? Uncertainty? The thought that other people have it harder, or that you should be able to manage on your own?
Imagine having time set aside to explore what you’re experiencing without needing to take care of anyone else in that moment. What would you want to talk about? What would you hope someone could help you understand?
You can begin with an unfinished question: “I’m not sure what I need, but something in my life is asking for attention.”
Stay with what you noticed.
You may recognize yourself in several of these moments, or just one. That doesn’t tell you what you should do next. It gives you somewhere to begin listening.
Which question stayed with you? What would you like to understand more clearly? What is one small way you could respond to that need this week?
You might keep reflecting, speak with someone you trust, or decide you’d welcome individual support.
You can bring these questions to a session.
Stacia offers intuitive guidance, energy healing, and spiritual mentoring at Compass Rose. Her approach is personal, with space to explore what you’re experiencing and what you would like support with.
If these reflections brought up a recurring pattern, a change you’re navigating, or a wish to feel more connected with your own direction, those can be starting points for a conversation. The intention is to support your own awareness and choices, at a pace that respects you.
You don’t need a polished explanation before reaching out. You can learn about Stacia’s approach and decide whether it feels like a fit.
